Because we believe change should start within our #authenticbeautymovement community, we are collaborating with our partner salons on sustainable salon practices.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainable Salon Tools
Our shopping bags are made of recycled paper and our salon materials are printed on vegan, biodegradable, FSC paper with mineral-oil free inks. The FSC system allows consumers to identify, purchase and use wood, paper and other products from well-managed forests, and/or recycled materials. We also offer Fairtrade organic cotton towels to salons.
When we deliver orders of Authentic Beauty Concept tools to salons, we use recycled materials as much as possible to pack them. It’s not perfect, yet, but we are aiming to provide solely recyclable materials for packing them. The reason we sometimes have to use plastic? We haven’t yet found any alternative that can protect the quality of our materials.
Sustainability Education Seminar
The Authentic Beauty Concept Sustainability Seminar has been carefully crafted to give hairdressers a wider awareness and understanding of sustainability.
Become proficient to the highest level through a learning journey that covers actionable steps to a more eco-friendly – and socially responsible – salon business model. Visual demonstrations and salon-friendly sustainability hacks will explain how to take a balanced approach, whilst meeting the demands of conscious consumerism. With a 'do good, feel good' approach, participants will also have the opportunity to get hands-on as they learn how the immersive Authentic Beauty Concept Refill Bar benefits the environment, the client and the salon.
To celebrate successful completion, every attendee will receive a rewarding Authentic Beauty Concept education diploma.
Sustainability within our Community
A lot of great initiatives are already happening within our community. At the Paris salon of our global advocate, Ismérie, hair from cuts is donated to cancer patients living with hair loss.
We are continuously exploring more sustainable opportunities and initiatives, and we are excited about how they will help us to strengthen and evolve the brand and our #AuthenticBeautyMovement over the next few years.
